The Trust and its members have supported relief work to aid natural calamities and disasters right from its inception. The Trust supports flood relief work by sending aid to flood & famine affected people in villages. Dry food, medicines and clothes were distributed to thousands of flood & famine affected people.
The major events of relief work undertaken by the Trust include:
1966 & 1967 – Relief camps to help the people suffering from drought in Orissa and Bihar. People numbering 15,000-50,000 were fed daily and provided clothing and medical aid. |
1968 – Flood relief works carried out in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh (food, clothes and medicines provided to affected people). |
1968 – Earth quake relief works carried out in Koyna, Maharashtra (food, clothes and medicines provided to affected people). |
1969 – Famine Relief works in Rajasthan. |
1970 – To provide relief materials to people suffering from earth quake in Kutch, Gujarat (Sukhadi – a nutritious food, Blankets, Food grains, Dhoties, Sarees, Books, Medicines etc.). |
1972 – Plentiful relief materials were distributed in the flood affected areas of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh on a large scale.
2008- Dry food, medicines and clothes were distributed to thousands of flood affected people in Bihar. |
