Shri Sadguru Seva
Sangh Trust (SSST)
The
genesis
The genesis
of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust (SSST) can be traced back to the early 1950s when
the revered saint Param Pujya Shri Ranchhoddasji
Maharaj (respectably
addressed as
“Gurudev”
by his disciples)
and his followers organized free large scale eye camps and relief work during the
natural calamities in the region of
Central India
. These efforts gradually converged
into establishing a formal institution namely Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust
(SSST) in 1968 (registered under Public Trust
Act 1951 (Reg No. 5/B) at Indore(M.P.)) at Chitrakoot, Madhya Pradesh.
The reins
of SSST were entrusted to Shri Arvind Mafatlal, who was nominated by
Gurudev as the Chairman of the Trust.
Since then Shri Arvind Mafatlal has continued to be the visionary of the Trust and
has been instrumental in the sustained and diversified growth that the Trust has
so far achieved.
Over the years, the organization has grown up to a greater
strength and presently ambits one of the largest rural eye care institutions in
the region viz.
Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, and another comprehensive general hospital
viz.
Jankikund Chikitsalaya, both the hospitals are situated at Chitrakoot.
Other institutions of the Trust are also dedicatedly working towards healthcare,
educational, social and rural development activities in the
Central India
. The Trust has also expanded its healthcare
and educational activities in the rural areas of Anandpur (District Vidisha, Madhya
Pradesh), where two new hospital units viz.
Shri Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalya and the Shri Sadguru Sankalp Matru Sadan
are added to the existing general hospital of Shri Sadguru Sankalp Chikitsalya.
